Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to all purchases made through [cleanslatetech.co.uk] ("we," "us," "our"). By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before buying.
1. Who We Are
We are CleanSlate Tech Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17264964, with our registered office at c/o Optimum Digits Ltd, Sunderland Road, Market Deeping, Peterborough, PE6 8FD.

2. Our Products
We specialise in selling used, second-hand electronics, including smartphones, gaming consoles, controllers, and accessories. Because our products are pre-owned, please note:
- Every item is inspected, tested, and reset before being listed for sale.
- Each product listing includes a clear condition grade (such as Excellent or Good) describing its cosmetic and functional state. Please read the full product description before ordering, as this forms part of what you're agreeing to buy.
- As second-hand goods, items may show some signs of previous use consistent with their stated condition grade, even where fully functional.
- Included accessories (such as cables, controllers, chargers, or original packaging) are listed individually on each product page. Please check this carefully, as not all items include original boxes or full accessory sets.
- For phones specifically, all devices are factory reset and checked to confirm they are not locked to a network, blacklisted, or reported lost or stolen, before being listed for sale.
3. Prices & Payment
- All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.
- We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders you've already placed and had confirmed.
- Payment is taken in full at the time of order.
- We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. All payments are processed securely; we do not store your full card details.
4. Order Acceptance
Placing an order on our website is an offer to buy, which we're free to accept or decline. A contract between us is only formed once we send you confirmation that your order has been accepted (usually by email). We may decline or cancel an order — for example, if an item turns out to be out of stock, priced incorrectly, or fails a final quality check — in which case we'll notify you and issue a full refund.
5. Delivery
- We offer free 48-hour tracked delivery (business days) on orders within the UK, unless stated otherwise on a specific product or at checkout.
- Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Occasionally delays happen due to courier or other issues outside our control, and we're not liable for losses caused by such delays, though we'll always do what we can to keep you updated.
- Risk in the goods (responsibility if something happens to them in transit) passes to you once the item is delivered to the address you provided.
6. Your Right to Cancel (Statutory Cooling-Off Period)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you're a consumer buying online, you have the right to cancel your order for any reason, within 14 days of receiving your item, without needing to give a reason.
- To cancel, simply contact us at info@cleanslatetech.co.uk within 14 days of receiving your order.
- You then have a further 14 days to send the item back to us.
- You'll be responsible for the cost of returning the item, unless it's faulty or not as described.
- We'll refund you within 14 days of receiving the returned item, or of you providing proof of postage, whichever is sooner.
- To qualify for a full refund, the item should be returned in the same condition it was sent, with all included accessories.
- For phones, please ensure any personal accounts (such as Apple ID, Google account, or Find My) are fully removed before returning the device, as we cannot process a refund for a device we're unable to reset.
This 14-day right is separate from, and in addition to, the warranty described below.
7. Warranty
Every order includes a 3-month warranty as standard, covering hardware faults with the item itself — for example, failure to power on, or, where applicable, failure to read discs or charge properly.
- You have the option to upgrade to a 12-month warranty for £19.99 at checkout.
- The warranty covers genuine hardware faults but does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, liquid damage, or normal wear and tear (such as battery degradation) occurring after delivery.
- If an item develops a covered fault within the warranty period, contact us at info@cleanslatetech.co.uk and we'll arrange a repair, replacement, or refund, as appropriate.
This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (see below).
8. Your Statutory Rights (Consumer Rights Act 2015)
As a consumer, you have legal rights regarding goods that are faulty or not as described, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. In summary, goods must be:
- As described — matching the condition grade and details given in the listing.
- Of satisfactory quality — taking into account that the item is second-hand, its age, and the price paid.
- Fit for purpose — able to do what it's reasonably expected to do.
If an item doesn't meet these standards, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund, depending on how soon the issue is discovered. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your statutory rights.
9. Faults, Returns & Refunds
If you believe an item is faulty or doesn't match its description:
- Contact us at info@cleanslatetech.co.uk as soon as possible, describing the issue.
- We may ask for photos or additional information to help us understand the problem.
- Depending on the situation, we'll offer a repair, replacement, or refund.
- If a return is agreed, we'll confirm whether return postage costs will be covered by us (for faulty or misdescribed items) or by you (for change-of-mind returns outside the 14-day period, where accepted at our discretion).
10. Limitation of Liability
We aim to provide accurate, high-quality products and service, but we cannot accept liability for:
- Indirect or consequential losses arising from use of our products.
- Delays or issues caused by third parties, such as couriers, outside of our reasonable control.
- Loss of data, photos, or personal content on any device, including phones. We strongly recommend backing up any device before returning it or sending it in for warranty service.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
11. Data Protection & Privacy
We take your privacy seriously. Details of how we collect, use, and protect your personal information are set out in our separate [Privacy Policy], which forms part of these Terms.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or how we operate. The version in place at the time you place an order is the one that applies to that order.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
